Characteristics:
Healthcare is a specific sector of the economy that combines business with work for the well-being of society. The prospects for the development of health care in Poland and the gradual changes that are taking place in it oblige us to undertake the education of specialised managerial staff prepared precisely for the needs of the medical industry. Manager Health Care Technology. Manager Health Care Technology (MHCT) is a postgraduate study that gives participants comprehensive knowledge in the field of management of medical facilities, with particular emphasis on obtaining funds for operations, marketing, negotiations and qualitative, economic and patient relations aspects. Students will learn about modern telemedicine solutions and how to effectively and legally implement them in healthcare facilities.

Program:
During two semesters of classes, students attend lectures and exercises in the following subject groups:

SEMESTER I:

  • Health economics and public health
  • Healthcare market in Poland
  • Fundamentals of organisation and management of healthcare entities
  • Fundamentals of finance and accounting of medical entities
  • Fundamentals of raising funds for healthcare
  • Marketing in healthcare services
  • Negotiations in the healthcare sector

SEMESTER II

  • Introduction to telemedicine systems and data security in healthcare
  • E-health and healthcare computerisation
  • Quality of healthcare services
  • Management of medical personnel
  • Logistics management of healthcare entities
  • Process management of healthcare entities
  • Diploma seminar

Staff:
Academics of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk

Duration:
Two semesters, classes are held on selected Saturdays and Sundays (8:00 – 18:30)

Recruitment is carried out via the Online Recruitment of Candidates for Postgraduate Studies (IRK-SP).

Fees:
PLN 2,400 for one semester (2 x PLN 2,400)

The conditions for admission to the studies are:

  • completion of first-cycle, second-cycle or uniform master's studies in any field of study,
  • payment of the annual, semester or instalment fee,
  • submission of a complete set of documents, i.e. application for admission to postgraduate studies (generated from the online registration system after registering for the edition of postgraduate studies), a copy of the higher education diploma, ID photo and proof of payment of the tuition fee.
