Why is it worth to recruit for CIMA Program?

Dominika Lewandowska, CIMA Ambassador 2019/2020, 2020/2021: CIMA Program helps to improve accounting skills, which are currently very useful in the labor market. With a CIMA qualification it is easier to get your dream job or create your own business. Thanks to the knowledge gained during the program you influence the most important decisions in the company. The syllabus of qualifications corresponding to the changing market needs is therefore always up-to-date and universal. Everyone can start learning with CIMA, regardless of whether they are just beginning their adventure with finances or already have some professional experience.

University Management Accounting Day CEE 2020 - international meeting with business and management accounting The Institute of Management Accounting CIMA invites everyone interested in developing a career in finance and management to the next edition of University Management Accounting Day CEE, which will take place on October 21 at 11:00. The event is dedicated to students of bachelor's and master's degrees in finance and accounting.

This year, the event will be held entirely online. The organisers have prepared interesting lectures on management accounting: "Human Signals: New Patterns of Behavior and the Accounting Profession [the COVID-19 crisis]". Students will also be able to participate in the CIMA Business Game, an interactive online competition between students from 16 universities participating in the event! Students will create teams of several people with whom they will work on a case study and solve selected problems. University Management Accounting Day CEE is also an opportunity to meet this year's CIMA Ambassadors, who are always available to answer questions related to the CIMA Program at the University.

As Bruce Gahir, Associate Head of the School of Business at Prague College, says, "UMAD CEE is a great opportunity to see how the CIMA syllabus helps students understand management accounting and provides them with an appropriate set of competencies useful in analysing and solving business case studies”. Dr. Aleksandra Ferens from the University of Economics in Katowice adds, "Organizing an event for so many European universities and conducting the CIMA Business Game is a great idea because students can see for themselves how powerful CIMA activities are. This, in turn, helps to make students aware that regardless of the country, they can compete for the same jobs in the best international companies.”

More information about the event can be found at https://www.cimaglobal.com/Our-locations/central-eastern-europe/Events /UMAD/ and on the Facebook event.

We invite you! :)

Dominika LewandowskaCIMA Ambassador at the University of Gdańsk

My name is Dominika Lewandowska, and I live in Gdańsk. I am currently a second-year "Taxes and Tax Consulting" student at the Faculty of Law and Administration and the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk. In addition, I work and am active in the Student Forum Business Centre Club, where I belong to the HR department.

I am pleased to be this year's CIMA Program Ambassador at my university. I am interested in broadly understood law and psychology, especially those related to the mechanisms of human behaviour. Of course, I associate my professional future with tax law, i.e., obtaining the title of tax advisor. However, since I started my activity in the student organisation, I feel good about management and work organisation.

I believe that the position of CIMA Ambassador provides excellent development opportunities, meeting valued people and authorities in the world of finance, and above all, gaining experience and testing your skills in such a large project as CIMA.
